Serving his first term in the Michigan Senate, Lauwers previously served six years in the Michigan House. Senator Lauwers was raised on a 100-cow dairy in the thumb of Michigan. Prior to his time in the Legislature, Lauwers founded Eastern Michigan Grain in 1993, worked for the W.K.
