Oneil Carlier is a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta. He represents the electoral district of Whitecourt- Ste Anne. Prior to his service with the Legislative Assembly, he worked for 13 years as a regional representative of the Public Service Alliance of Canada. He devoted 20 years to Agriculture Canada as a geotechnical technician. He developed rural communities and farms on the Canadian prairies by surveying irrigation fields, canals and other infrastructure prior to construction or maintenance. He also drew blueprints, assisted with the operation and preliminary classification of soils and bedrock, and monitored various instruments at remote reservoirs to ensure their sustainability and reliability. As a construction quality control technician, he collected, studied, classified and tested various construction products on site for small and large irrigation, farm
